Judging System for the Carolina Classic
The Carolina Classic will once again utilize the sheets developed for the North Carolina Bandmasters Association. The NCBA system comprises of the following: Music Performance Ensemble has one judge and contributes up to 20 points to the overall score; Visual Performance also has one judge that contributes up to 20 points to the final tally; the Music Effect caption consists of two judges, each with 20 points. Their scores are averaged and contribute up to 20 points to a band's overall score; Visual Effect is one judge who contribute up to 20 points to the final score; the Music Performance Individual judge is the sole on-field judge. This judge also has 20 points to contribute to the final score. Added together a perfect score for a band is 100 points.
The Percussion, Guard and Drum Majors are judged as separate captions and do not contribute to a band's overall score.
